On Wednesday, Happinet announced the TV series format, promotional trailer, and January 2026 release date for Wash It All Away ( Kirei ni Shite Moraemasu ka. ?), an anime adaptation of Mitsuru Hattori's manga. The series will air on Tokyo MX, ABC TV, BS Asahi, and AT-X channels. Additionally, Eri Chichibu has been tapped as the composer for the anime's music. The trailer below provides a sneak peek at the main character's voice for the first time.
Kenta Ōnishi is directing the anime for Okuru to Noboru while Tōko Machida is overseeing and writing the scripts. Azuma Tozawa is in charge of character design for Even Given, which is about a sub-character who is actually the strongest in his class despite being labeled as worthless.
In July 2017, Hattori started publishing the manga in Square Enix's Young Gangan magazine. It ended in June 2023 after being published for six years. Ten compiled book volumes were released for this manga during its run. On June 6th, a new side story chapter was published for this manga. Additionally, six months after it ended, Hattori published another side story for this manga.

In North America, Funimation released an anime adaptation of the English translation of Kodansha Comics' publication of Hattori's earlier work, Kenko Zenrakei Suieibu Umisho manga. This was followed by another anime adaptation of another of his works, Sankarea, which was inspired by a manga series he published from 2009 to 2014.
NisiOisin 's Imperfect Shojo novel was adapted into a manga series by Hattori. This series was then licensed and released in North America by Vertical Comics. Additionally, Hattori launched the Kaiju-iro no Shima manga in Kadokawa 's Monthly Dragon Age magazine in 2018, which is still ongoing. Finally, Yen Press will be releasing this ongoing series in English under the title Monster-Colored Island .
