On Monday, Medialink Entertainment released a trailer for Kobayashi-san Chi no Maid Dragon: Samishigariya no Ryū anime film with both Chinese and English subtitles. It was announced that the film will be shown in Hong Kong and Macau on October 30th.

In its first three days, it made approximately US$1.07 million or 154,841,820 yen. There was also a preview screening of the movie in Japan on May 26 before its official release.
The film features new actors such as Fumihiko Tachiki playing Kimun Kamui, Nobunaga Shimazaki voicing Azad, and Shiori Sugiura taking on the role of Ilulu. Tomomi Mineuchi, who had been providing voice acting for the character since 2022, has stepped down.
fhána performed the opening theme song "Namida no Parade" (Parade of Tears). Sachiko Kobayashi performs the ending theme song "Bokutachi no Hibi" ("Days of Us"), and kotringo performs the insert song "Negaigoto" (Wish).
In May 2013, the manga series "Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid" was launched in Monthly Action magazine by its creator, Coolkyoushinja. In February 2024, Monthly Action ceased publication, leading the manga to move to another magazine called Manga Action.
Seven Seas Entertainment is releasing the manga in English.
In January 2017, an anime adaptation of the series was released in Japan by Kyoto Animation. Crunchyroll streamed the show as it was airing in Japan, while Funimation provided an English dub for viewers outside of Japan. Funimation also released the anime on Blu-ray Disc and DVD in April 2020.
In July 2021, the second season of Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid S was released. This season included a special "Volume S" release that contained an additional episode titled "Nippon no Omotenashi (Attend wa Dragon Desu)" (Japanese Hospitality (My Attendant Is a Dragon)). This special release was made available in January 2022.
In addition to the original manga, there are several other mangas that have been created based on it. These include "Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid: Elma's Office Lady Diary," "Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid: Fafnir the Recluse," and "Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid: Kanna's Daily Life." These are all being released in English by Seven Seas.
