At AnimeJapan 2025 on Sunday, Pony Canyon unveiled the second promotional video for the upcoming television anime adaptation of Aki Shimizu 's manga series Chūzenji-sensei Mononoke Kōgiroku: Sensei ga Nazo o Toite Shimaukara. This spinoff prequel is set in the same universe as Natsuhiko Kyōgoku 's Hyakki Yakō novel series. The video features HoneyWorks feat. KAF 's opening theme song "She Is Now in the Labyrinth." English subtitles are available and can be turned on.

In October 2019, Shimizu started publishing his manga in Kodansha's Shonen Magazine Edge. Later, when the magazine stopped publishing in October 2023, the manga was transferred to Kodansha's Comic Days app. On March 7, 2023, Kodansha released the 11th compiled book volume of the manga.
The Rozen Kreuz Series is derived from the novels of Bara Jūji Sōsho in the "shared world" of Kyogoku's Hyakki Yakō series. Kyogoku is considered as the "founder" of this series which started in 2015 with various authors and illustrators.
