On April 7th, the TV show will have its premiere, and its opening theme will be performed by HoneyWorks featuring KAF.




At AnimeJapan 2025 on Sunday, Pony Canyon unveiled the second promotional video for the upcoming television anime adaptation of Aki Shimizu 's manga series Chūzenji-sensei Mononoke Kōgiroku: Sensei ga Nazo o Toite Shimaukara. This spinoff prequel is set in the same universe as Natsuhiko Kyōgoku 's Hyakki Yakō novel series. The video features HoneyWorks feat. KAF 's opening theme song "She Is Now in the Labyrinth." English subtitles are available and can be turned on.

The anime is set to air on TV Tokyo starting from April 7th at 11:30 p.m., while it will also be available on BS TV Tokyo and AT-X.

School x Supernatural x Mystery

Before Kyogokudo established his used bookstore, this tale unfolds.

In 1948, Tokyo was still recovering from World War II.
When Kanna Kusakabe started her sophomore year in high school, she encountered her new language teacher, Akihiko Chuzenji.

Mysterious supernatural things keep happening around Kanna. Once again today, Kanna is going to open the doors to the library prep room to seek help from the surly Chuzenji-sensei who is waiting inside.

A story about a pair of an unconventional team - a teacher and a teenage girl - is set to unfold in a high school with supernatural elements.

Chihiro Kumano (episode director for A Couple of Cuckoos , Moriarty the Patriot ) is directing the anime at 100Studio . Atsushi Oka ( Hensuki , Cardfight!! Vanguard Divinez scripts) is supervising and writing the series scripts. Masahiko Suzuki ( Trapped in a Dating Sim: The World of Otome Games is Tough for Mobs ) is designing the characters. Toshiki Kameyama is the sound director, and Keiichi Hirokawa and Ryūichi Takada from MONACA are composing the music.

The song "She Is Now in the Labyrinth" by HoneyWorks feat. KAF is used as the opening theme for the show, while Sizuk's music project provides the ending theme with the title "Kimi no Shiranai Koto" (What You Don't Know).

In October 2019, Shimizu started publishing his manga in Kodansha's Shonen Magazine Edge. Later, when the magazine stopped publishing in October 2023, the manga was transferred to Kodansha's Comic Days app. On March 7, 2023, Kodansha released the 11th compiled book volume of the manga.

The Rozen Kreuz Series is derived from the novels of Bara Jūji Sōsho in the "shared world" of Kyogoku's Hyakki Yakō series. Kyogoku is considered as the "founder" of this series which started in 2015 with various authors and illustrators.
