Sayo is a high school student who feels insecure about his short height. After seeing the girl he likes reject her love confession from the tall and attractive Mashiba, Sayo becomes angry and challenges him to different matches but fails at all of them. When Mashiba calls him "cute," it only makes things worse for Sayo. As he begins to hate Mashiba, Sayo starts having nightmares where he is being held by someone and the content of his dreams continues to deteriorate.
