Yoichi Isagi was close to scoring a goal that would have taken his high school soccer team to nationals, but he passed the ball to a teammate at the last second, missing out on victory. Feeling bitter, confused, and disappointed, he wonders if things would have turned out differently had he not made that pass. Upon returning home, Isagi receives an invitation from the Japan Football Union for a project called Blue Lock. The goal of this controversial initiative is to identify one U-18 striker who can become the star player for the Japanese national team. To achieve this, all participants must compete against each other in individual and team competitions. Despite his ethical concerns, Isagi feels driven to succeed and crush the dreams of 299 other aspiring young strikers in order to reach the top.

Blue Lock was released on Blu-ray and DVD in four volumes from January 27, 2023 to July 28, 2023.
