In elementary school, Hayuma Minekoshi discovered his passion for figure skating after watching a mesmerizing triple axel performance at a competition. Despite not knowing how to skate, he resolved to learn the sport. However, after the mysterious girl who inspired him disappeared from the public eye, Hayuma lost hope of finding her again. Now in middle school, Hayuma moves to Tokyo where he gets the chance to learn figure skating properly. To his surprise, the same mysterious girl reappears at the rink. Kisara Saotome, the former prodigy, had quit competing in singles to try pair skating. Seeing potential in Hayuma despite his lack of experience, Kisara invites him to be her temporary partner. However, Hayuma must undergo rigorous training to catch up with Kisara's skill level before they can compete together.
