When Yuushi's parents passed away during his first year of middle school, he moved in with his relatives. Although they cared for him, he felt like a burden and was excited to move on to high school with a dormitory. Unfortunately, the dormitory caught fire before he could even move in! As an orphaned student with limited funds, Yuushi struggled to find housing. Eventually, he found a room in an old building that seemed too good to be true. However, this turned out to be a Monster House, where humans and supernatural creatures like ghosts and mononoke lived together. In the house was another high school student named Akine, who was completely unbothered by the monsters and even had the ability to exorcise evil spirits! Yuushi's high school life became much more bizarre than he ever imagined.
