In their youth, Nino Arisugawa and Momo Sakaki made a pact that if they were ever apart, they would use music to locate one another again. However, without warning, Momo relocated, leaving Nino with an unending desire to scream. As a result, she began wearing a mask. During this time, while still yearning for her first love, Nino encountered Kanada "Yuzu" Yuzuriha, a young man her age who composed music and bestowed upon her the nickname "Alice." Nino became enamored with his melodies, while Yuzu developed feelings for her. Every Wednesday, they would convene at the beach; however, one day Yuzu ceased coming. Six years later, Nino and Yuzu reunited in high school, unaware that Momo had also joined the same institution. In keeping with their childhood vow, Nino sang Yuzus songs in an attempt to reach Momo through her voice. Meanwhile, Yuzu continued to pine for Nino, exacerbating a love triangle that had formed over the course of many years of separation.
