Minetaro Mochizuki is an accomplished Japanese mangaka who was born on January 29, 1964, in Yokohama, a bustling industrial and commercial hub located in Kanagawa Perfetcure. After completing his studies at the Tokyo Academy for Design, he received the Kodansha Prize for Upcoming Authors, which is an esteemed award given to promising mangaka in honor of Tetsuya Chiba. His debut work, Bata-ashi Kingyo (Swimming Upstream), was a huge success and was published in Young Magazine during the second half of the 1980s.
