Nine is a four-member idol unit from LesPros Entertainment. The original lineup consisted of nine members selected through an audition. After switching record labels in 2010, the group shifted its focus to becoming more of a "performance girls unit." Uki Satake, Sayaka Nishiwaki, and Kanae Yoshii joined in 2010. Hirona Murata also joined at that time. Azusa Matsuzawa left in January 2007, followed by Miwako Wakatsuma in the same month. Rubi Katou departed in December 2007, and Marie Ashita ex-leader left on March 27, 2009. Mai Yoshida and Midori Yamaoka also parted ways with the group on that date. Madoka Shimogaki joined in 2007 but left on August 31, 2010. Moe Miura and Umika Kawashima were members of Nine until July 23, 2016.
