In the small town of Hinamizawa, where Rika Furude and her female companions reside, Keiichi Maebara becomes their new classmate in June 1983. As the only boy in their clique, he enjoys spending time with them after school playing games and living life to its fullest. However, Keiichi notices unusual behavior from his female classmates who appear to be concealing the town's dark secrets from him. Meanwhile, someone observes these events unfold and recalls similar occurrences from past experiences. With this knowledge, they attempt to repair these damaged worlds. However, when certain variables change, this individual faces a chilling revelation: they lack understanding of what will transpire or how to prevent it from happening.
