Cyborg 009: The Cyborg Soldier

The leader of a terrorist group known as Black Ghost, Skull, commands an army of nine powerful cyborgs. However, Dr. Isaac Gilmore, who specializes in cybernetics within the organization, decides to betray his comrades and assist the cyborgs in turning against Skull and his evil plans. The goal of Black Ghost is to initiate a new global conflict by flooding the market with weapons capable of causing mass destruction. With nine brave cyborgs on their side, it seems that they will have a difficult time bringing down Skull and his organization.

Cyborg 009: The Cyborg Soldier is a modern adaptation of the Cyborg 009 series that retells four of its primary story arcs. The first 48 episodes closely resemble the original series, whereas episodes 49-51 are an OVA exclusive, and are loosely based on the unfinished final chapter of the manga.
