Since losing his family in an explosion, Mirai Kakehashi has been living a painful and hopeless existence. He endures daily mistreatment from the relatives who took him in. As his suffering slowly erodes his will to live, he is eventually pushed to the brink of despair. Prepared to give up everything, he stands on the edge of a cliff and takes a leap. Instead of dying, however, he enters a trance where he meets Nasse, his guardian angel. Nasse grants him two incredible abilities and convinces him to continue living. When Mirai discovers the power of these gifts for himself, he experiences a newfound sense of freedom that was denied to him for so long. Now, armed with Nasses powers, Mirai is thrust into a battle against 12 other individuals, one of whom will become the next God. Despite wanting to end his life before, Mirai is now determined to do whatever it takes to protect his fragile chance at happiness and prevent it from being taken away forever.
