Juna Ariyoshi was an ordinary Japanese schoolgirl with childlike curiosity and deep admiration towards nature. On one of her trips with her boyfriend Tokio Oshima, she met an individual named Chris Hawken who granted her powers that made her the avatar of time in exchange for a chance to live again. However, Juna soon discovered that this task was not easy as she had to protect Earth from evil forces called raaja, which were born out of toxic pollution caused by humans. She realized that she needed to master her newfound abilities while also seeking answers about how science and technology have taken away humanity's primal connections with nature. With the help of Chris, his assistant Cindy Klein, and a powerful international organization named SEED, Juna had to overcome her fears to stop the raaja from destroying everything she cared for.
