Tales of the Abyss

The realm of Auldrant is governed by the Score, a set of ancient prophecies that have shaped its course for generations. These predictions are viewed as an unchangeable destiny that affects everyone, regardless of their actions' consequences. In this world, magical powers known as Fonic Arts are harnessed to wage war between Kimlasca-Lanvaldear and the Malkuth Empire in pursuit of fulfilling the Score's vision for a utopian future. Tales of the Abyss follows Luke von Fabre, who was kidnapped and lost his memories as a child. While practicing swordplay, he encounters an assassination attempt by Tear. Despite defending his master, their confrontation results in teleportation to a distant land. This sets off a quest that will either liberate Auldrant from the Score's grip or lead to its total destruction.
