At 45 years old, Sasaki is fed up with his job in the office. His only source of comfort is smoking, which he finds solace in the friendly smile of supermarket cashier Yamada. On one particularly difficult day, when he can't find Yamada, a beautiful woman invites him to smoke with her. Sasaki believes he has made a new smoking friend in Tayama, who is teasing and cool, but he doesn't realize that he already knows her!
