Yuki takeya is extremely fond of megurigaoka high school, where she is currently enrolled as a third-year student and member of the school living club. the club comprises yuuri wakasa, kurumi ebisuzawa, miki naoki, megumi sakura, and taroumaru, who work together to make the most out of their time at school. however, yuki is unaware that there is more to her idyllic life than meets the eye. in reality, the school living club's primary goal is to escape from a horrifying truth: they are living in the midst of a zombie apocalypse and have barricaded themselves inside the school as the only survivors. as per the manga by kaihou norimitsu, gakkougurashi! follows the story of a group of girls who must adapt to life after an apocalyptic event while maintaining a semblance of normalcy for yuki's sake. they have no means of contacting the outside world and are surrounded by undead creatures waiting to attack them at any moment.
