In 2037, Tokyo's Shibuya district hosts a platform called LayereD. This technology employs mixed reality to create Internet visualizations in the real world using special devices. Users can experience augmented reality through these gadgets and bring their imagined creations into reality, providing endless opportunities for self-expression. However, despite its initial promise of freedom, society has become oppressive due to a strict Varna Counter system that eliminates harmful content in order to maintain LayereD's "cleanliness" and "health." This results in an inflexible and restrictive environment where individuals are constantly monitored by their peers to uphold regulations.

LayereD Stories 0 game app will end service on January 8, 2019. In-app purchases will discontinue first on December 7, 2018--making the app only a year in service before its discontinuation.
