Kazuma Satou, a high school student and recluse who died in a laughable manner while purchasing a video game, is given two options by Aqua, a beautiful but obnoxious goddess. He can either proceed to heaven or be reincarnated into an ideal fantasy world where he will face challenges such as defeating a Demon King terrorizing villages. Kazuma chooses the latter and selects Aqua as his companion for this quest. However, Kazuma soon realizes that Aqua is of little use in the real world, unlike how she functions in a game.
Their troubles do not end there, as they discover that living in an actual fantasy world differs significantly from what it appears to be in games. Instead of embarking on an exciting adventure, they must first focus on meeting their basic needs such as paying for their expenses. The challenges faced by Kazuma and Aqua are only beginning.
Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuku wo! adapts the first 2 volumes of Natsume Akatsukis light novel series of the same name.
