In El Hazard, we meet Miz, the priestess of Mt. Muldoon and the oldest among her kind. At nearly thirty years old, she is more concerned with maintaining her beauty than fulfilling her religious duties. While taking a bath in Arliman's springs, a careless servant pours freezing cold water on her, causing her to scream. Fujisawa, thinking Miz was in danger, rescues her from the attacker. This act of heroism captures Miz's heart, as she is immediately smitten with him. Despite the impending threat posed by the Bugrom conflict, Miz's primary motivation for resolving it is to plan her wedding ceremony before Fujisawa can even say yes or no. Although capable of taking care of herself, Miz plays the delicate flower role when trying to win Fujisawa's affections. In the end, they marry and become Miz Fujisawa, with their son born in the Alternative World. In The Wanderers, Miz remains largely unchanged from her El Hazard persona. Her water temple is briefly taken over by Nanami, who turns it into a water park, much to Miz's dismay.
