Heero Yuy is an individual whose name is derived from that of a fallen leader in Colony, whose assassination was meant to be avenged by Gundam pilots. Following his arrival on Earth, he encounters Relena Darlian, the daughter of an advocate for peace between Earth and Colony. He enrolls in her school and saves her life multiple times, leading him to question his mission and feelings. Initially, Heero's ally is Duo Maxwell, who assists him in retrieving his Gundam from the ocean. Afterward, he embarks on a solo journey, attacking bases and OZ encampments. His primary adversaries are Zechs Merquise and Treize Kushrenada, with whom he engages in numerous battles throughout the series, even exchanging Gundams at times. Trowa Barton holds the greatest enigma regarding his personality, but Heero comes a close second, frequently disappearing after completing missions or encountering individuals. Throughout the series, Heero is driven by his emotions and often thinks things through before making decisions. In Frozen Teardrop, he was referred to as "the heart of space" by Quatre Raberba Winner, Pilot 04, near the end of the last episode.
