Show runs in Osaka September 12-15, in Tokyo September 21-28
On Saturday, it was announced on the official website for the musical adaptation of Yana Toboso's Black Butler manga that there will be a new stage play called Musical Kuroshitsuji ~Midori no Majō to Jinrō no Mori~ (Black Butler: The Emerald Witch and the Werewolves' Forest). This stage play will be based on the Emerald Witch arc from the manga.
The cast includes:

The company Two Hats Ltd. has been tasked with writing the script for a new stage play. Nobuhiro Mōri, who directed Kamen Rider Gavv and Kamen Rider : Beyond Generations, will be directing this production. Syunsuke Wada, known for his work on Delico's Nursery and Live Spectacle Naruto: Song of the Akatsuki, will be composing the music for this show.
The play is scheduled to take place from September 12th through 15th at the Umeda Arts Theater in Osaka and from September 21st through 28th at the Kanadevia Hall in Tokyo.
Image via Musical Kuroshitsuji ~Kishuku Gakkō no Himitsu~ stage play's website In spring of 2021, Tokyo and Osaka hosted the first run of "The Musical Kuroshitsuji ~Kishuku Gakkō no Himitsu ~", which was the franchise's first stage musical since "Musical Kuroshitsuji - Tango on the Campania" in 2017.
In Japan from December 2017 to February 2018, the fifth stage musical adaptation of Toboso's Black Butler manga was performed as "Musical Kuroshitsuji - Tango on the Campania." This musical version of "Gōka Kyakusen" (luxury liner) arc from volumes 11 to 14 of Toboso's original manga was shown in Japan. Additionally, this same arc was adapted into the Black Butler anime film "Black Butler: Book of the Atlantic" (Kuroshitsuji: Book of the Atlantic).
Black Butler musical series began in Tokyo in 2009 with "Sono Shitsuji, Yūkō" (That Butler, Friendship). Following this was "Musical Kuroshitsuji- The Most Beautiful DEATH in The World- Sen no Tamashii to Ochita Shinigami" (Musical Black Butler: The Most Beautiful Death in The World - A Thousand Souls and The Fallen Grim Reaper) in 2010 which had runs in Tokyo in May 2013 and Osaka in June 2013. "Kuroshitsuji- Tokyo" ran in September 2014 in Tokyo and Osaka in October 2014 with additional runs in November and December 2015 in Osaka, Miyagi, Tokyo, and Fukuoka. Additionally, "Kuroshitsuji" had its first overseas performance in Shanghai, Beijing, and Shenzhen in December 2015. "Circus Arc" was adapted into a stage musical in Tokyo in November 2016 with further performances in Fukuoka, Hyogo, and Aichi that December.
The Emerald Witch Arc of The Black Butler anime was released on April 5 at 11:30 p.m. JST (10:30 a.m. EDT) on several channels including Tokyo MX, BS11, Gunma TV, Tochigi TV, and ABEMA. It also aired on MBS at 27:08 JST (around April 6 at 3:08 a.m. JST). In Japan, other streaming services will also broadcast it starting April 8. Crunchyroll will also stream this series.
In 2006, Toboso introduced her manga series in Square Enix's G Fantasy magazine. As of April 26th, they have released the 34th volume of the compiled book. Currently, the series is on hiatus as Toboso is working on research and preparing for the climax of the story.
