Story of scholar's descent into underworld to save younger brother launched on May 22
On Thursday, Kodansha's online magazines published the initial sections of Meaheim, a new series by Kenji Tsurubuchi with illustrations by Konata.
In this tale of dark fantasy, we follow the journey of Scholar Ren as he travels through a world without gods in order to save his younger brother. Along the way, he encounters strange sights such as gold falling like water and fruits that rot on their branches before returning to the trees. To aid him in his quest for a cure, Ren is accompanied by Tobias, his guide through this mysterious land.
In 2011, Tsurubachi introduced the first volume of the "Meth-E-Meth" manga series in Manga Time Kirara Forward published by Houbunsha. Kadokawa released the complete collection of this series in April 2023. Yen Press published the English version of this title and released it as a compiled book on March 11.
Tsurubuchi created both Touge Oni: Primal Gods in Ancient Times and Tsukumo. Yen Press publishes the latter in English and will release its sixth volume on July 15th.
