Iori Saeki, Mamiko Noto, Kikuko Inoue join cast
On Thursday, Kuzushiro 's Egao no Taenai Shokuba Desu manga was announced with its television anime adaptation. Three new actors were introduced as part of the cast.
Clover has an editor named Shiori Asakura, who is confident in her work and is respected by her colleagues including Satō.
Ren Takizawa, known for her work in manga, was assisted by Futami and Nashida. Despite appearing composed, she has faced challenges in the past.
As editor-in-chief of Clover magazine, where Futami's manga is serialized, Kikuko Inoue is known for her problem-solving skills and for advocating for good treatment of manga artists. She has previously helped Takizawa in difficult situations.
The anime will debut in October on several channels including Tokyo MX, Iwate Menkoi TV, BS Asahi, and AT-X.

Kaoru Suzuki ( DIVE!! , My Roommate is a Cat ) is directing the anime at Voil . Mio Inoue ( My Awkward Senpai , Slow Start ) is in charge of series scripts, Kana Miyai ( Beyblade Burst QuadStrike , Hybrid x Heart Magias Academy Ataraxia ) is designing the characters, and Ryō Tanaka ( Solo Leveling , Thermae Romae Novae , Acro Trip ) is the sound director. Kei Haneoka ( Kono Oto Tomare!: Sounds of Life , Kaguya-sama: Love is War ) and Hironori Doi ( Umineko When They Cry music staff) are composing the music, and Pony Canyon is in charge of music production. HoneyWorks and HaKoniwalily will perform the anime's opening theme song "Zettai Shōsan" (Absolute Praise), and Sizuk will perform the anime's ending theme song "Thankful."
Nana Futami is a newbie manga artist who has Kaede Satō as her editor and Mizuki Hazama as her assistant. Despite experiencing frequent hallucinations as she believes it's part of her job, she continues her work with the support of her colleagues.
Kuzushiro was initially released as a one-shot in Kiss magazine by Kodansha in February 2019. It then began its serialization on Comic Days app and website in May 2019. On April 18, Kodansha released its 12th compiled book volume of the manga.
