Both seasons of anime based on Shungiku Nakamura's manga stream on YouTube

On May 16th, Ani-One Asia started broadcasting the initial episodes of Sekai Ichi Hatsukoi - The World's Greatest First Love anime series on their YouTube platform. On May 22nd, they made available the second season of this anime for viewers.



The anime series was released on DVD by Funimation in March 2017. It includes both TV episodes and OVAs from the fifth and sixth volumes of the manga. The first two seasons of the show were released in April and October 2011.

First love is a precious thing. The racing of hearts, the fluttering of stomachs - it's a feeling that remains a fond and treasured memory. That is, unless you're Ritsu Onodera. After his first love with a handsome upperclassman ends in heartbreak, Onodera is over the troubles of love. But even without it, his life is still miserable.

When Onodera joins Marukawa Publishing as an editor in the shoujo manga department, he finds himself working under Masamune Takano, his former senpai who broke his heart. As Onodera navigates his demanding job and Takano's persistent advances, can he handle the tension in their relationship while also dealing with the romantic undertones of boy's love?

In February 2020, Japan released the anime movie "Sekaiichi Hatsukoi: Propose-hen". It was later released on Blu-ray Disc and DVD in June 2020. In August 2020, Ani-One Asia made the movie available for streaming in India. An earlier version of this movie, "Sekai-ichi Hatsukoi: Yokozawa Takafumi no Baai", was released in 2014.

The manga was first published in Kadokawa's "The Ruby" magazine in 2006. It later shifted its publication to "Asuka Ciel" in 2009 before finally moving to "Emerald" in August 2014.
