On Friday, Kadokawa released a preview video for 3, which is the third season of the popular crossover anime series.

The staff also revealed more characters who will appear in the anime:

- Kōhei Amasaki as Otto Suwen ( Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World- )
- Nobuhiko Okamoto as Garfiel Tinsel ( Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World- )
- Inori Minase as Beta ( The Eminence in Shadow )
- Suzuko Mimori as Gamma ( The Eminence in Shadow )
- Fairouz Ai as Delta ( The Eminence in Shadow )
- Hisako Kanemoto as Epsilon ( The Eminence in Shadow )
- Ayaka Asai as Zeta ( The Eminence in Shadow )
- Reina Kondo as Eta ( The Eminence in Shadow )

This anime comprises characters from several popular series such as Overlord, Konosuba, Re:Zero -Starting Life in Another World-, Saga of Tanya the Evil, Rising of the Shield Hero, and Eminence in Shadow. It features actors who portray these characters in the anime.

Kadokawa acknowledges Light Tuchihi as a collaborator on the original work of "The Hero Is Overpowered but Overly Cautious" light novel series in addition to giving credit to its original author.

The team behind the anime series has been reunited. Minoru Ashina will be back as director and writer, while Minoru Takehara will take charge of character design and animation direction. Ruka Kawada will also return as composer.

Isekai Quartet is an anime that combines elements from several popular franchises such as Re: Zero, Overlord, KONOSUBA, and Tanya the Evil. It also includes characters from The Rising of The Shield Hero. The first season of Isekai Quartet premiered in Japan in April 2019 and was streamed by both Crunchyroll and Funimation during its airing.

In January 2020, Isekai Quartet 2 was released and consisted of 12 episodes. Following this, the Gekijо̄ban Isekai Quartet ~Another World~ movie was launched in Japan in June 2022.
