Summary: Bonnie and Mickey share a romantic relationship, yet Mickey has a demanding job as a long-distance truck driver. Despite having a child together, their relationship becomes strained due to broken promises and passing time. All that remains of their connection are small keepsakes, postcards, and recollections.
After a naïve, pure-hearted young man enters their orbit, things slowly begin to change…
Shodensha originally published the manga in March 1995 under its Feel Comics imprint.
Title: Universe from the Balcony ( Veranda kara Uchū )
Author: Konomi Oumi
Summary: Konomi's Universe from the Balcony is a collection of stories that will captivate and enlighten readers with its exploration of ethereal beings in space, the subtle fragrance of a goldfish bowl, silent plant spirits, impossible romantic relationships, and a mermaid struggling to remember how to swim.
Oumi originally released ( link ) the manga at the COMITIA 145 event in September 2023.
In 2023, Tokushige Kawakatsu 's manga series The Cursed Body will be released by Glacier Bay Books after being announced for publication in 2022.
The company describes the story:
Cat Head Isle follows a group of three friends that boat out to visit a small island. The only presence on the island is a cat shrine, but as they explore the island the friends start to exhibit increasingly erratic behavior...
Willow Weep for Me is the story of a mother and son who encounter a mysterious beggar on an afternoon walk. After the beggar's body is fished up from the river later that evening, the strange, even gruesome, events begin to mount.
These tales have strong connections to rental manga (kashihon) and traditional ghost stories. They showcase the author's extensive knowledge of Japanese and English literature. This book is highly recommended for fans of both horror manga and gekiga.
