On August 29th at 9:00 p.m., NTV broadcasted Princess Mononoke by Studio Ghibli and Hayao Miyazaki. This film received an impressive rating of 11.0%.

On Sunday, August 31 at 3:45 p.m., NHK-E broadcasted the anime film "Eiga Oshiri Tantei Saraba Itoshiki Aibo" (Oshiri). This film received a rating of 0.3%.

On Saturday, August 30 at 8:45 p.m., the animated movie "Sing a Bit of Harmony" was shown on NHK-E. It received a rating of 0.5%.

On August 30th at 2:45 a.m., TV Tokyo broadcasted the live-action version of the Karada Sagashi (Body Search) horror manga by Katsutoshi Murase and Welzard. This movie received a very low rating of only 0.3%.

On August 27th at 8:00 a.m., the latest installment of NHK's longstanding Renzoku Terebi Shōsetsu (Serialized TV Novel) franchise, titled "Anpan," was broadcasted. This episode received a rating of 17.1%. On August 29th at 8:00 a.m., another "Anpan" episode was shown, which garnered a slightly higher rating of 17.2%. Lastly, on August 30th at 12:45 p.m., another "Anpan" episode was broadcasted, but it received a lower rating of 9.9%.

The TV show that airs every day during mornings is based on the real-life experiences of Takashi Yanase, who created the popular manga character Anpanman, and his wife Nobuo Komatsu.
