Clevatess Anime Gets 2nd Season
1st season's 12th, final episode aired on Wednesday
On Wednesday, it was announced by Kadokawa that the Clevatess -Majū no Ō to Akago to Shikabane no Yūsha- anime series will have a second season titled Clevatess II -Majū no Ō to Itsuwari no Yūsha Denshō- ( Clevatess II -The King of Magical Beasts and the Legend of the False Hero-). To celebrate this news, Souichirou Sako, the character designer for the series, created an illustration.
The first season's 12th and final episode aired on Wednesday.
On July 2nd at 8:30 p.m. JST (7:30 a.m. EDT), the anime was first broadcast on the AT-X channel in Japan. It then continued to air on Tokyo MX, Sun TV, KBS Kyoto, BS NTV, TV Fukushima, Nagano Broadcasting Systems, TV Yamanashi, Aichi TV, Iwate Broadcasting, Miyagi TV, Hokuriku Broadcasting, TV Shizuoka, TV Shin Hiroshima, Akita Asahi Broadcasting, Hokkaido TV, Nihonkai Telecasting, Nagasaki International Television Broadcasting, Nagoya TV, and Niigata Broadcasting. Crunchyroll also streamed the series as it was being shown in Japan.

Kiyotaka Taguchi (kaiju designer for SSSS.Dynazenon film) is directing the anime at Lay-duce . Keigo Koyanagi ( Brave Bang Bravern! , The Rising of The Shield Hero ) is in charge of series scripts, Souichirou Sako ( Buddy Daddies , Magi: Adventure of Sinbad ) is designing the characters, and Nobuaki Nobusawa ( Mr. Villain's Day Off , Police in a Pod , Steins;Gate 0 ) is composing the music. Mayu Maeshima performs the opening theme song "Ruler," and British pop singer Ellie Goulding performs the ending theme song "Destiny."
Alicia, who dreamed of being a fearless hero from childhood, was selected by the king as one of 13 heroes for a quest. Armed with legendary swords, they embarked on a mission to defeat Clevatess, the lord of magical creatures. However, these very heroes could inadvertently cause the greatest disaster in the realm, wiping out all of humanity. The only hope for the world now rests in the hands of a baby entrusted to Clevatess, the lord of magical creatures.
In August 2020, Iwahara, who is known for designing characters in "Darker Than Black" and creating "King of Thorn" manga, released his new manga on the LINE Manga app. On the same day, LINE Digital Frontier published the first compiled book volume physically, while they released the 10th volume digitally on July 2nd.
Kadokawa started ( link ) In April 2024, Kadokawa will publish a new edition of the compiled book volumes of the manga on their Comic Alive+ website. On September 26th, the 10th volume of the series will be released.
