Fukuyama plays protagonist Futami's former editor Masayuki Todo
On Monday, it was announced that Jun Fukuyama has joined the cast of the anime adaptation of Egao no Taenai Shokuba Desu manga as Masayuki Todo, who was previously Futami's editor in the manga series.

Nana Futami is a newbie manga artist who has Kaede Satō as her editor and Mizuki Hazama as her assistant. Despite experiencing intense hallucinations that she believes are caused by her job, she continues to work with their support.
The manga "Kuzushiro" was initially published as a one-shot in Kodansha's "Kiss" magazine in February 2019. It then began its serialization on the "Comic Days" app and website in May 2019. Kodansha will release its 13th compiled book volume on September 19th.
