Yomi no Tsugai

In a remote village, there lived two identical siblings, Yuru and Asa. While Yuru became a hunter of animals, Asa was confined in a cage, tasked with fulfilling a specific duty that restricted her from interacting with many individuals. On a typical day, without warning, a group of armed men on helicopters, known as "dragons," descended upon the village in search of Yuru, killing everyone else in their path. When Yuru tried to meet up with Asa and escape, he discovered her lifeless body instead. To his shock, the person who killed her claimed to be his true twin sister. Before she could capture him, Yuru was saved by Dera, an outsider who frequently visited the village. However, their rescue was short-lived as they soon found themselves cornered. As a final effort, Dera asked Yuru to present a gift to the deity of the village, which summoned a pair of "tsugai" that would reveal the truth behind these chaotic events.

Yomi no Tsugai has been published digitally in English as Daemons of the Shadow Realm by Square Enix through Manga UP! The volumes have been published in English by Square Enix since April 25, 2023; and in Italian by Panini Comics since July 27, 2023.
