A young boy named kaoru terazaki plays an online game using a female character and interacts with a virtual friend known as nanami who uses a male avatar. although he has been hiding his true identity, they are soon to meet in person for the first time. however, when they finally come face-to-face, kaoru discovers that nanami is actually a girl. this revelation leaves both of them stunned, especially since nanami had already told her family about her female friend coming over. in an effort to conceal kaorus true gender, nanami suggests crossdressing as a solution. despite the fact that their initial relationship was built on deception, this unusual encounter marks the start of their unconventional friendship.
