The Best Male Newcomer award was given at the 2nd Seiyuu Awards for his portrayal of Mihashi Ren in Ookiku Furikabutte. He is also part of the trio Trignal, which includes fellow seiyuus Takuya Eguchi and Ryouhei Kimura, and hosts Radio for Kiramune label (currently known as Trignal no Kira☆Kira Beat R). Additionally, he is married to another Seiyuu from the same agency, Yuka Nishigaki, since May 2015.
