Takafumi Takaokas uncle, Yousuke "Ojisan" Shibazaki, was involved in a fatal accident with a truck and lay comatose for 17 years. After regaining consciousness, Ojisan spoke in a foreign language and revealed that he had been transported to a magical world called Gran Bahamal. Takafumi initially dismissed his uncles claims as nonsense until an incantation made a cup of water hover in the air. Inspired by this event, they created a YouTube channel to showcase Ojisans magical abilities. Now, Takafumis responsibility is to introduce Ojisan to everything that has transpired during his absence, including getting him up to speed with the internet, new technology, and surprisingly, the outcome of the 90s console war-which was especially distressing for a hardcore SEGA fan. With Ojisans wisdom from his other world experiences, they grow their YouTube channel and tackle online comments and trolls. Their journey promises to be anything but conventional.

Isekai Ojisan was released on Blu-ray and DVD in three volumes from September 28, 2022 to November 25, 2022.
