I am determined to become the world's greatest jazz musician! The story follows Dai Miyamoto, a member of the basketball club in junior high school. One day, he attends a live jazz performance with a friend, which deeply inspires him. From that moment on, he begins practicing the tenor saxophone by himself without any sheet music knowledge. Despite the challenges and criticism from the audience during his first performance, Dai continues to practice passionately every rain or shine, day or night. His journey towards achieving his goal is a tale of reckless determination and sincere dedication.
