The story follows a character named Kinnikuman who has been deemed worthy to become the next king of Planet Kinniku. However, at the coronation ceremony, five other individuals claim to be the true prince of the planet. To settle this dispute, a Royal Survivor Tournament is being held, where Kinnikuman and his friends must fight for their rightful place as the successor to the throne. With newfound knowledge about the Ultimate Technique (The Muscle Spark), Kinnikuman battles in the tournament with determination and support from his allies.
The series starts after the Dream Choujin Tag Arc from the first series, ignoring the anime only Psycho and Gokuaku Choujin Arcs, and covers only the Survivor Match for the Kinniku Throne Arc. Additionally, the characters Detective Gobugari and Kinkotsu-Obaba do not appear in this series, and only Kinnikuman and Meat have their same voice actors from the first series.(Source: Kinnikuman Wiki)
