As a child, Nicoletta's mother, Olga, left her and went to Rome to remarry. Now, 15 years later as a young woman, Nicoletta travels to Rome with the intention of ruining her mothers life. She finds her mother at a restaurant called Casetta dellOrso. However, once she enters the restaurant, everything changes. The staff are all mature men wearing glasses and they have a warm and wise smile that makes Nicoletta forget her plans for revenge. She is swept up in the sweet romance of everyday Italian life.
