The story of Kimi no Na wa centers on two high school students, Mitsuha Miyamizu from the countryside and Taki Tachibana from Tokyo. While their dreams are vastly different - Mitsuhas desire to live in the city contrasts with Takis dream of becoming an architect - fate brings them together in a bizarre way. One day, Mitsuha wakes up in a room that's not hers and finds herself living Takis life in Tokyo. Meanwhile, Taki is living Mitsuhas life in the countryside. As they search for each other, their actions have a profound impact on one another's lives, weaving them together through fate and circumstance.

Kimi no Na wa. won the LAFCA Animation Award in 2016 and the Best Animated Film in 2017 by Mainichi Film Awards.
