Latest season of Gen Urobuchi's original project streams on Crunchyroll
On Thursday in India, Crunchyroll started broadcasting season four of the Thunderbolt Fantasy puppet show series as well as the film adaptation of the franchise titled Thunderbolt Fantasy: Tōriken Yūki Saishūshō.
In Japan, the show first aired on October 5th. Two new actors have joined the cast - Fairouz Ai portrays Haōgyoku and Shōgo Batori plays Kamushō.
The latest installment in the Thunderbolt Fantasy series is a combination of a fourth season and a concluding film. It premiered in Japanese cinemas on February 21st.
The anime series "Thunderbolt Fantasy" began with its first season airing in July 2016. Its film adaptation, "Thunderbolt Fantasy: The Sword of Life and Death," was released in Japan in December 2017. The second season of the anime series debuted in Japan in October 2018. "Thunderbolt Fantasy: Tōriken Yūki 3," the third season of the franchise, was released in April 2021.

Gen Urobuchi was responsible for the original work of the first season of the anime series. He also wrote the scripts and served as chief supervisor. Nitroplus was in charge of character designs, while Good Smile Company was credited as "modeling adviser." PILI Multimedia Inc., a Taiwanese hand puppet drama production company, produced the series. Hiroyuki Sawano composed the music for the series, while Yoshikazu Iwanami was the sound director.
