The legendary artifact known as the holy grail has triggered three devastating wars throughout history, each more brutal and ruthless than the last. despite this dark past, the wealthy einzbern family believes that the fourth holy grail war will be different. they possess a vessel of the sacred object and have hired kiritsugu emiya to fight in it. however, kiritsugu is not just any ordinary fighter; he is known as the "magus killer" and has been tasked with protecting irisviel, the einzbern's only daughter, who will marry him upon victory. in this cutthroat competition, six other participants join kiritsugu in a battle for survival, each armed with their own ancient familiar and driven by unique motivations. alongside his trusty saber companion, kiritsugu faces off against kirei kotomine, a priest seeking redemption from the emptiness within himself. fate/zero is based on gen urobuchi's light novel and follows the events of the fourth holy grail war, which took place 10 years before fate/stay night. this battle royale promises no guarantees of survival.

Fate/Zero was simulcasted around the world, with subtitles covering eight major languages. It is currently licensed by Aniplex of America for release in North America.
