Uma Musume Pretty Derby: Beginning of a New Era screens on August 23 at 6:00 p.m.
On August 23 at 6:00 p.m., Uma Musume Pretty Derby: Beginning of a New Era ( Uma Musume Pretty Derby: Shinjidai no Tobira ) will be screened at Anime NYC. Additionally, Yū Saitō, editor-in-chief of Shonen Jump, and Kirito Iwashita, anime producer, will be present at the convention.
In 2020, Iwashita became part of the team at Twin Engine where he worked as an assistant producer on Shine on! Bakumatsu Bad Boys ! and also had responsibilities as a planning producer on Hell's Paradise .
In June 2024, Saitō was appointed as editor-in-chief of Shonen Jump Magazine by Shueisha after Hiroyuki Nakano resigned from his position. He began working for Shueisha in 2005 as part of their editorial staff. Throughout his career, he has worked on several popular manga series such as Gintama, Hunter X Hunter, World Trigger, Kuroko's Basketball, Nisekoi, and We Never Learn.
Uma Musume Pretty Derby: Beginning of a New Era opened in theaters in Japan in May 2024.
For the first time this year, Anime NYC is taking place over four days from August 21st to August 24th at the Javits Center.
Since its launch in November 2017, Anime NYC has been held annually in November until August 2024 when it utilized the entire Javits Center for the first time. However, it was online-only during 2020 due to the pandemic.
