The official website for the television anime of Visual Arts/Key 's Summer Pockets visual novel revealed the anime's eighth promotional video on Friday, ahead of the show's 23rd episode, titled "Nanami."
On Friday, the anime's team shared a fresh image that included Nanami and Shiroha. Kana Hanazawa has been added to the cast as Nanami.
The anime received a compilation film that opened in Japan on August 15.
In June 2018, the original version of Summer Pockets was released on PC in Japan. Then, in June 2019, both digital and physical versions of the Nintendo Switch version were released in Japan. In June 2020, an updated version called Summer Pockets REFLECTION BLUE was released on PC in Japan. Since then, it has been made available on mobile devices, Switch, and PlayStation 4 as well.
The game's English version launched for PC via Steam in February 2020.
The game takes place in a rural district of a certain isolated island. The story focuses on "one nostalgic summer."
The original concepts for Jun Maeda's works such as Kanon, AIR, Clannad, and Angel Beats! were developed by him. Meanwhile, Na-Ga created the illustrations for Angel Beats!, Little Busters!, and Charlotte. Tsubasu Izumi designed the characters for Akane Iro ni Somaru Saka and Mashiroiro Symphony - The color of lovers. Yūnon Nagayama also contributed character designs for Angel Beats! Lastly, Fumuyun helped with character designs for some of these works as well.
Yū Niijima wrote the scenario for "Koi x Shin Ai Kanojo" and "Majo Koi Nikki." KAI wrote the scenario for "Clannad," "Rewrite," and "Harmonia." Hasama wrote the scenario for "Tokyo Babel," "Kimi to Kanojo to Kanojo no Koi." Maeda composed the music for "Angel Beats! Harmonia" with assistance from Shinji Orito, Donmaru, Tomohiro Takeshita, and Giniro, Haruka.
wogura launched ( link ) On May 30th, Shueisha announced that they would be releasing a manga adaptation of the title "Summer Pockets -Natsu no Takaramono-" (also known as "Summer Treasures") on their Tonari no Young Jump website.
The manga series called Summer Pockets Mugyu Days ~Tsumugi no Shima Sanpo~, which is based on the Summer Pockets anime, has also started. ( link ) in Kadokawa 's Dengeki Moeoh magazine and KadoComi website ( link ) On February 28th, Yūnon Nagayama, who was one of the original illustrators and character designers for the game, will be creating a spinoff manga. Additionally, Key is acknowledged for having written the original story.
