In 20XX, Koga has recently joined the Tokyo branch of SHWD, which is responsible for eliminating bioweapons left behind after World War II. Her mentor is Sawada, a woman with an exceptional mindset that complements Kogas physical abilities. Despite their shared mission, there's something more going on between them than just teamwork. As they face nightmares beyond their wildest imaginations, these two powerful women must work together to overcome the challenges ahead.

SHWD began as a doujinshi on May 5, 2018, when the first volume was released at COMITIA 124. Official serialization started in Comic Ruelle on June 19, 2020.The doujinshi version of the series has been published digitally in English by Lilyka Manga. The series has been published in English by Seven Seas Entertainment since October 11, 2022.
