In Tokyo, a medical student named Reito Mizuhara contracts a deadly disease called cellular sclerosis. To receive treatment, he is put into cryogenic sleep for five years. When he wakes up, the world has changed dramatically due to a pandemic caused by the novel Male Killer (MK) virus that only affects men and has killed all other males on Earth. As one of the few immune survivors, Reito and four others are tasked with repopulating the planet through mating with women. However, Reito is determined to find his childhood friend and love interest, Elisa Tachibana, who went missing three years ago. While the other men adapt to this new world, Reito struggles with temptation and investigates the mysterious virus.
