Mobile Suit Gundam AGE  

In year 101 of the Advanced Generation calendar, a mysterious entity known only as "UE" attacks and destroys the space colony Angel. This event becomes notorious as "The Day the Angel Fell," marking the start of humanity's struggle for survival. The series begins in year 108 when UE attacks the space colony Ovan, where Flit Asuno lives with his mother. During this attack, Flit's mother is killed, and he discovers blueprints for a powerful weapon from the past - Gundam - in her belongings, an object called an "AGE Device." Using these plans, Flit spends several years studying engineering at an Earth Federation base on Nora space colony and designing the AGE-1 Gundam. In year 115 of the Advanced Generation calendar, just as UE attacks Nora, Flit completes the Gundam and prepares to defend mankind alongside his lineage.
