In the past, humanity experienced colonization and conflict during the universal century. now, in the present day known as the "regild century," people enjoy a time of relative peace and prosperity. the year is r.c. 1014, and the capital tower, an orbital elevator connecting earth to space, serves as a source of power through photon battery transfers. this structure is revered with religious fervor due to its significance in supplying earth's energy needs. bellri zenam, a cadet in the capital guard tasked with protecting the tower, experiences his first non-simulated exercise when he encounters an unaffiliated "g-self" mobile suit during an attack on the capital tower. despite being captured by bellri while piloting a "recten" maintenance mobile suit, the g-self's pilot, aida rayhunton, stirs something within him. the mysterious and powerful g-self, which bellri had never seen before, accepts him as its pilot. aida's mission was to attack the capital tower, marking the beginning of bellri's destiny as a chosen pilot of the g-self. this revelation will shake the foundations of the regild century and set the stage for the reconquista, a new era of conflict and discovery.
