On July 10th, Netflix will exclusively showcase the anime adaptation of Scott Westerfeld's Leviathan novel series, which was produced in collaboration with Qubic Pictures. Additionally, Orange has released a new visual for the upcoming anime.
Christophe Ferreira of Eden Designs is overseeing the project, while Joe Hisaishi has composed an original tune for it.
In 1914, before the start of the war, we meet our protagonist who is a prince fleeing from his kingdom. While on board a technologically advanced airship called Leviathan, he comes across a young woman dressed as a boy.
In the series of novels published from 2009 to 2011, the original drawings were made by Keith Thompson. Nobuko Toda composed music for Ghost in the Shell: SAC_2045, RWBY: Ice Queendom, Ultraman anime, and other projects. Kazuma Jinnouchi also composed music for Ghost in the Shell: SAC_2045, RWBY: Ice Queendom, Ultraman anime, Halo 4, Halo 5, Metal Gear Solid 3 & 4, and other projects. Qubic Pictures is producing this project, while Orange is producing the animation. Justin Leach and Taiki Sakurai are also producing this project.
At Otakon in Washington D.C., from August 2nd to 4th, Quantic Pictures showcased their anime series with guests such as Leach, producer Katrina Minett, and Ferreira present.
This animation studio specializes in adapting manga by Haruko Ishikawa such as Land of the Lustrous, Paru Itagaki's BEASTARS, Godzilla Singular Point from Netflix, Trigun Stampede anime, and other notable works. Additionally, they have contributed CG work to anime productions since 2004 with Aquarion television series being one of them.
