Atsumi Tanezaki, Taito Ban, Rie Takahashi, Ryōta Iwasaki join cast of October series




On Tuesday, Yano-kun's Ordinary Days anime was unveiled by Happinet with its main visual, additional cast members, crew, and first promotional video. This video showcases the opening theme song "POP LIFE" by FANTASTICS .

The newly announced cast are:

Atsumi Tanezaki as Mei, Kiyoko's best friend

Taito Ban as Hashiba, the class representative along with Kiyoko

Rie Takahashi as Izumi, Hashiba's childhood friend

Ryōta Iwasaki as Tanaka, Mei's childhood friend

Yayoi Tateishi is responsible for directing sound in the anime "Hokkaido Gals Are Super Adorable!", "Ron Kamonohashi's Forbidden Deductions", and "Private Tutor to the Duke's Daughter". Bit Grooove Promotion handles sound production for the anime, while Nippon TV Music is in charge of music production.

The anime will debut in October.

The anime stars:

- Kōhei Amasaki as Tsuyoshi Yano
- Yuka Nukui as Kiyoko Yoshida


The anime at Ajia-do is being directed by Shinpei Matsuo, who has previously directed Ascendance of a Bookworm season 3, Kakushigoto, and Kemono Jihen episode. Deko Akao is writing the script for this anime, having previously written for Arakawa Under the Bridge two seasons and Ragna Crimson. Toshihisa Kaiya is designing the characters for this anime, having previously worked on Ascendance of a Bookworm three seasons and World Trigger. Hideakira Kimura is composing the music for this anime, having previously worked on Cerberus, Gundam Build Divers, Gundam Build Divers Re:RISE two seasons.

The comedy manga centers on Tsuyoshi Yano, the perennially unlucky high school boy, and Kiyoko Yoshida, the classmate that constantly worries for him. Yoshida sees Yano come into school injured, and Yoshida begins following Yano out of concern for him, observing his unlucky daily life, and resolving to support him.

In June 2021, Tamura released his manga on Kodansha's Comic Days platform. It is still ongoing. On March 12th, Kodansha published the 10th volume of the compiled book version of the manga.

The manga also inspired a live-action film that premiered in Japan in November 2024.
