In the 19th century in paris, a man named noé archiviste searched for the legendary "book of vanitas." during his journey aboard an airship, he was saved from a vampire attack by a mysterious doctor who called himself vanitas and possessed the very book he sought. however, this self-proclaimed vampire expert was actually a human who inherited both his name and the tome from his master, the same vanitas of legend. as strange events unfolded in the form of the charlatans parade, it became clear that the doctor's ability to restore sanity to vampires by recovering their true names would be crucial in resolving the case.
