35 years have elapsed since Lynn Minmay brought peace between the Zentradi and humans in Macross. Nekki Basara is a guitarist and singer for Fire Bomber, residing in City 7's less developed region. He believes that music possesses immense power and composes and performs songs with this conviction. One day, an alien race appeared during the colony's flight, attacking City 7 without conventional methods. Instead of attempting to destroy them, these aliens targeted "spiritia," rendering victims unconscious and zombie-like. Despite the danger, Basara consistently ventured into the war zone, singing his songs in hopes that both friends and enemies would be moved by their power.
